Introduction to Medical Education in the UK

Medical/ Dental education in the United Kingdom is a critical component of the healthcare system, playing a significant role in shaping future healthcare professionals. The UK is known for its high quality medical schools that are responsible for training the next generation of doctors. Basic requirements are A-Levels at a high grade, high scores in the UCAS and enhancing extra/super curriculars of which many examples can be found on my portfolio page.

This blog post will delve into the specifics of four prominent medical schools: Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, and Newcastle. As of 2024, these are the only ones I have visited, however, next year I will be vising more and will report back my top choices and reasons why.
